Pick Your Own Adventure on the Farm

Fresh apples, warm donuts, and Hudson Valley views that stop you in your tracks at Lawrence Farms Orchards.

About Us

The drive up Colandrea Road tells you everything. That long, winding climb through the trees opens up onto Lawrence Farms Orchards, where the Hudson Valley spreads out below you in a panorama that has stopped first-time visitors cold for generations. People come for the apples and stay because the place feels genuinely alive, a working farm that still has dirt under its fingernails.

On any given morning you can fill a bag with pick-your-own fruit, grab a still-warm apple cider donut from the farm store, and let your kids spend twenty minutes trying to make friends with the goats. The animals are real farm animals, not props, and the goats in particular have a reputation for being enthusiastic about the whole interaction. The variety of produce available across the season runs well beyond apples, with fruits and vegetables rotating in as the Hudson Valley calendar moves forward.

With over 1,100 reviews averaging 4.1 stars, Lawrence Farms earns its reputation not through polish but through authenticity. The farm opens seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, which means a weekday morning visit is just as possible as a weekend family outing. Prices stay reasonable, the setting is spectacular, and the homemade pies give you a very good reason to visit even after apple season closes.

What We Offer

The heart of the experience is pick-your-own produce, where you walk the rows yourself and choose what goes in your bag. Apples anchor the season, but the farm offers a rotating selection of fruits and vegetables that keeps the harvest fresh from late summer into fall. Reasonable per-pound pricing makes it easy to fill up without watching the clock.

The farm store is worth the trip on its own. Apple cider donuts, fresh-baked pies, and seasonal goods line the shelves, and the smell alone tends to derail any plan to just grab one thing and leave. It functions as the kind of farm stand that reminds you why local food tastes different.

Beyond the picking and the store, the farm keeps a small collection of animals that younger visitors tend to remember long after the apples are gone. The goats are interactive and plenty willing to meet new people. Combined with the sweeping views from the hilltop property, Lawrence Farms Orchards delivers a full afternoon, not just a quick errand.

"The views are spectacular, it's worth going just for that. Long winding road leads to the farm. Super close to home, donuts and pies were great. Went on the last day so we weren't able to pick apples."

"Lawrence Farm is simply the best pick-your-own farm that I’ve ever been to! They had a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, starches, and other produce. My two personal favorite fruits and veggies that I picked were the sweet corn and the plums. The corn was so juicy and sweet, and was amazing when eaten raw, or cooked (as I did later for dinner), and the plums were juicy and slightly tart, and perfectly ripe! The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, and the tractor rides they offer are not only a good way to get around the farm, but also offer an amazing view of the orchards. In addition, their farm store is well-organized and stocked with many locally produced organic goods, like honey, maple syrup, and my personal favorite, apple cider. Plus, they offer many homemade treats too, including frozen apple cider slushes, and warm apple cider donuts. Overall, it is a great place to come with friends or family to pick delicious fruits, and have lots of fun!"

"This was an awesome experience. We went in August and picked the yummiest peaches I’ve ever had. We also picked some peppers and corn. The farm is gorgeous and the views were amazing. The employees were super nice and friendly. We also got some ice cream from the farm and it was delicious, the apple cider was good also. I definitely recommend and the kids loved it!"
